Vbabylone: The City of Kings

Vbabylone, the ancient city located in present-day Iraq, was known as the «City of Kings» due to its grandeur and importance in Mesopotamian history. Its impressive architectural structures and advanced civilization have captivated historians for centuries.

Founded around 2300 BC, Vbabylone served as the capital of the Babylonian Empire and was home to famous rulers such as Hammurabi and Nebuchadnezzar II. The city was known for its magnificent ziggurat, the Etemenanki, which is believed to be the inspiration for the biblical Tower of Babel.

Throughout its existence, Vbabylone was a center of trade, culture, and religion, with its hanging gardens considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The city’s downfall came in 539 BC when it was conquered by the Persian Empire, marking the end of its reign as a powerful city-state.
